Lunar Womb: Unleash Your Inner Creatrix

What is the rhythm that is cycling through you at this very moment? Take a pause, close your eyes, and listen to your breath.

How often do you have the time to notice cycles in your body, your environment, and your relationships?

Lunar Womb is an opportunity for taking time to meet your cyclical self.

Regardless of gender labels, humans inherently embody modern day notions of masculine and feminine expressions. The culture we live in tends to be dominant in masculine expressions, whether it be how we function at work, in our homes or when we rest. The feminine may be there but she may feel compelled to be hidden in the shadows - not fully expressing her potential in each of us.

The womb space is a sacred vessel that carries conscious, unconscious, and ancestral memories. In yogic wisdom/practice the womb space is where the Swadistan or Sacral chakra (energetic centre) resides.

Swad in Sanskrit translates to pleasure. It is in our womb space that we experience the feelings of abundance, joy, and wellness - “a dwelling place of self.” Biological functions such as circulation of blood, fluids, and hormones provide a cyclical rhythm that sustains and nourishes our whole being.

We cycle in response to our own unique imprint as it interacts with the environment around us, in tune with the four phases of the moon, the four seasons, & the circadian flows of the day. There are many archetypes that we can embrace to assist us in understanding ourselves and others. We can play with light/shadow selves, explore masculine and feminine icons, characteristics, stories of animals and recognition of where the five elements (Ether, Wind, Fire, Water and Earth), may sit in our physical and emotional bodies.

Prana, or lifeforce, is another element that we can add to our tool kit to journey through our life embracing the rhythm, flow, and cycles that we witness and experience as we walk/sit in the present moment.

Participating in this offering of Lunar Womb either in community or as an individual practice can provide a platform for healing and wellness. I invite you to join Lunar Womb, to unleash the Creatrix with full abandon and ecstasy.

Lunar Womb workshop in November of 2020 is coming to an end. It will be offered again in January 2021 at City and Soul Wellness Collective.
